I just upgraded to the latest version of 21 Pro: Blackjack (version 1.0.3) and the game has suddenly stopped working on my iPhone.

I have:

1) Installed the application from both the App Store and iTunes.
2) Run the application multiple times.
3) Restarted the phone and run the application multiple times again.
4) Uninstalled and reinstalled the application from both the App Store and iTunes.

Nothing has fixed the problem. Every time, the game simply crashes back to the home screen.

My brother has a non-jailbroken iPhone, and I tested the new version on his phone and it works perfectly. Any idea what might be causing this?

restore your phone and reinstall

apple can't support what you've done to the phone so it's your own fault it doesn't work

Same issue here. Might just be a problem with the app. The bugs aren't always universal so your brother's working and your's not doesn't necessarily mean the worst.

Have there been apps before that wouldn't work on a jailbroken phone?

What is it with you guys? I'm not asking Apple for support, or else I wouldn't be here! I'm well aware of the risks involved with jailbreaking. I don't expect any kind of official support. I do, however, expect some ideas from the community, perhaps, which is why I'm in the iPhone Hacks forum on MacRumors.

And the biggest deal to me is that I've never before seen an App Store application that won't run on a jailbroken phone just because it's jailbroken.

Thank you for chiming in. As I said above, this is the biggest point of interest for me -- I've never before seen an App Store application that won't run on a jailbroken phone just because it's jailbroken. This is why I'm so curious.

same here...I just noticed yesterday that it didn't work. It worked a couple of days ago. I can't remember what I changed on the phone though.

I am trying to figure out if I installed anything new through cydia that might be effecting it.

let me know if you figure it out.

Just an update. This isn't really going to help anybody but I've just restored my phone after having some other issues and now the game works. Nothing is different about my phone now compared to last week when this wouldn't launch so I have zero idea what's to blame.

I did the same as well...and it worked. Later on that day it went back and stopped working again. Wish there was a permanent fix for it.

Weirdly the game is now working for me as well. Apparently this may not last, but right now at least, it's playable. We'll see if it stays.

Well it's been working for me again...not sure what I did, I didn't remove anything...infact I added stuff. Maybe it was a cydia update or something.

Maybe. Strange problem, to be sure... Keep an eye on it, I guess, and post back if it stops working again. I'll do the same.

I've searched and googled the entire Net and this thread is the only place i've seen discuss this problem. I have it too and i can't seem to find a solution...
What could be causing the problem?
It's not permissions - i've checked that... So what else could it be

Hello Timelord,
I just saw you were talking about a -different- blackjack. I have the problem you used to have with 21 Pro. But my problem is with 'Blackjack 21'. This is a different application, much better IMO than the one you're talking about, because all commands are issued by swipes and taps, just like in real life black jack. It's much more clean and easier to use.
In the earlier days of 1.XX firmwares it was known as iBlackjack created my McCarron, which worked with the fine ppl of this forum to make it what it is today (here's the thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/348269/)

I thought you were talking about that app, so nevermind, i guess i wont be able to play it on my jailbroken iPod seeing how i have no clue what's causing the crash to the springboard immediately after it loads up... :(
