Battlefield 2142 seems to be running very slowly on my 17" macbook pro 2.33 with the x1600 256mb card. I've set all settings to lowest, but the game still runs choppy. Same on my imac 2.4 with the 2600. Why would this be? Both of these exceed system requirements. The poor gameplay has ruined my BF2142 record as whenever I approach to take out anyone it runs fine until I get close and start shooting, then fps drops to like 2 and I end up shooting wildly in the air at nothing. K/D ratio has gone from 1.3 to .7 :(

yo

Make sure you have the newest patch 1.5 and Start with a lower resolution (1024x768). If it runs smooth then you can begin tweaking it. Unfortunately the mac version of 2142 runs like crap. Even when you get it to run smooth it still hiccups every 30 seconds or so. Aren't you glad you paid 4 times the price for your very own exclusive mac port that runs like absolute crap? That's right, I seen the windows version for $10 brand new and btw if you installed it via bootcamp it would run way better.

Well if you are running v.10.5.4, there are known buggy graphics card drivers. So I would wait for 10.5.5 and then hopefully it will be better. And if you do run it via Boot Camp, it would run better, but idk if u have Vista or XP, so maybe that's not an option. Good Luck.

I have it at 800x600 with everything low/off and it still runs slowly, It won't even handle 1024x768. Everyone else with a MBP on the forums keeps saying it runs fine on theirs at higher settings even on lesser specced machines. Why then would mine run like this? I have a 6 year old g5 with a 9800 pro and it outperforms this thing at gaming by an order of magnitude. Wish I could run battlefield on it.
