first off, wow, it's simply breath takeing, no pink tinge no dead pixels dark blacks bright whites.

i picked it up at the regent street apple store allong with an ADC-DVI adapter (got one for 15 quid in a battered up box reduced) contary to previous reports they had one in stock (the adapter), though when i first asked for one they handed me a DVI to ADC adapter.

as always it's a joy to unwrap the thing from it's lovely packaging, the power brick is small, i was expecting a giant great thing, one thing to consider is that you loose a usb port if your going from a studio display to a cinema display, seeing as the two port hub has to be plugged into my cube direct, it would have been nice to have a four port hub, the only other small annoyence is that when i press the power button on it it brings up the prompt asking to shut down slepp ect, i would prefer the button to put my cube to sleep like my old display did.

oh and mac mini prospective buyers dont worry about being able to drive it, mine is connected to a 32MB 7500 atm (soon to be upgraded to a 6600GT). and it works fine, the UI is not exactly silky but it works fine.

otherwise it's a fantastic display i look forward to comparing it with a 2405fpw when i get one for my consoles and pc.

apple seems to have fixed the pink problem, oh and give the display a good clean, it seemed to have a thin film of fluid over it making the display look artifacty, a wipe with a cloth and some lcd cleaning fluid cleaned it up, i suspect it's the "new mac smell" perfume.

I think you can change what the Power button does in the System Preferences somewhere.

Energy Saver>Options>Allow Power button to sleep computer

i think thats for the button on the cube, there were options in the display pane but only to have that menu turn the display off or disable the button.

my cube is just out of reach of my chair....
