24" Display with Mid-2007 iMac?

Hi there!

So, I have an iMac of this variety (http://support.apple.com/kb/SP16) - 20", 2.4ghz. I was wondering if there was any way to make the 24" cinema display compatible?

Cinema display or LED cinema display? If it's the old cinema display with DVI, just buy a DVI cable. Both, iMac and old cinema display have DVI

Then it's impossible LED display can only be connected using DisplayPort which your iMac doesn't have.

The brand new models do work with the new 24" display.

I know, but I think it works only other way around. If your computer has MiniDisplayPort and your monitor has DVI then it works. What I've hears, the only way to hook something to new LED display, is via DisplayPort

For the OP, yes new iMacs have MiniDisplayPort, so you can hook 'em to LED display
