Yes im pulling my hair out too, i dropped some coin on a loaded 2.16 24" iMac last week. But PCConnection.com / Macconnection.com have recondition 24" iMacs for 1719$

Sure but it's

A. PC Connection, not Apple refurbished/reconditioned.

B. You maxed yours out, can't change the video, RAM or HDD on that one.

Yep, not a great option. I've also heard that many of the 24 inchers with problems (like dead pixels etc...) are ones coming from sources DIFFERENT than Apple direct. Good luck.
