24" iMac shipping weight?

I'm trying to arrange a courier for a 24" iMac - how heavy is the box?

since its about 25 pounds, add in the keyboard and chords and packing materials, etc. i'd give them an estimate of about 30lbs. but i'd rather overshoot than not when it comes to this stuff.

I'm presuming those measurements are for the entire box and it's contents?

no. if i'm not mistaken, those are for the actual machine itself.

Hmm, actually, 8" deep would appear to be the iMac itself.

When Apple shipped mine via FedEx, they listed it as 36 pounds.

The box is just about as deep as the iMac itself, at least it was like that for mine.

I was amazed at the box my 24"er came in. Really slim considering all the stuff inside. Was heavy though - a lot more than it looked. Felt like it was the same weight as my eMac boxed.

Yeah, I second the "36 lbs". That's what mine said also. And yes, apple packaging is the best, I have yet to find better. But, no matter how good the packaging is, I ultimately care about how good the product is. I'd also be willing to pay less for somewhat uglier packaging (like dell).
