I have a 24 in imac 3.06 with a Nvidia Gforce GT 130 512 meg graphics card and 4 gig of ram. Will an Apple 30 in cinema plug into this and work ? Currently the
cinema is on an old G5 and before trying it on the imac I thought I would ask, Apple doesn't seem to have a date for a new Mac Pro release and Snow Leopard won't run on the G5. I need to run some applications like CS 5 and Painter 11 but don't want to loose the resolution of 2560x1600.
Anyone know?

Does the mini port allow you to keep 2560X1600? Also is it true you can't extend your desktop just mirror it. Is that right?

Thanks in advance.

You can either extend or mirror
