Hi, people

wanted to see if you guys know where i can find pictures of a 24 inch(new model) wall mounted imac. I'm asking since am going to buy my imac but the desk I will use has stands for speakers on the side and the imac is two inches to big to fit in between. I could push the imac behind but i think the stands will distract me so i want to see how the i mac looks mounted because I don't want a 20 inch.

Thanks in advance

Here's one for you, apologies for the poor quality, I can't seem to find the ones I took when I did it so have just taken a quick one with the iPhone. I'd definitely recommend doing it, but it does take a bit of getting used to at first. Now its second nature.

I've not got round to hiding the cables in the wall yet....

that is sick i never though about that idea, to risky for me i'd be sooo worried about it falling down or something....the 24" isnt that light of a machine lol

spend some time making sure your wall mount is secure.

Also, in my opinion, it's a complete waste of time unless you completely hide the cables. Cable's really ruin the look :)

cybix,

those are great, great, great shots!

wow, what great ideas you've given to me and i'm sure many other people.

I love the usage of the iMac and the Elgato TV tuner.

especially since you have an MBP already, why not make the iMac more.. permanent. its a great showing off point.

Cybix,

Nice job on the kitchen wall mount. This is truly stunning!

This kit works with the alu iMacs as well correct? If so, does anyone know if taking off the back of the computer to install this will void your warranty or applecare?

With the Alu iMac all you do is remove the stand and then fit the Apple adapter, you don't have to take the case apart or anything like that. Also, its an official Apple piece, so its not going to void your warranty :)

We're re-decorating that room soon so I'll put the cables in the wall then.

Like others have said, just make sure the mount is firmly on the wall before hanging. But remember that the iMac will probably be still relatively small and light compared to the weight limits for the bracket/arm you might buy.

Good look

That's a good look. I think we have the exact same countertops...

I wish I could do this with our iMac when we move (to a larger kitchen) but we have the non VESA 17" iMac.

there are some small track like things u can get so u dont have to put the cables in the wall, and they come in tons of colors that mount to the wall. i did something like this for a projector i hung for my company in our board room. im looking for the site right now

edit - here it is
there are more u can find, this isnt the one i used but it gives u an idea

It doesn't work with Firefox 3.0 - it does work on Opera 9.5:). Awesome setup! I want the same setup once I stop renting!

Hi,

I am interested to get a monitor stand for the 24" iMac, can anybody know what is the weight of it.

Thanks.
