Hi, when playing some videos and DVD's (seems to be lesser quality ones, eg tv show dvds) the top of the video goes distorted (forming a line which isn't in sync with the rest of the video, everything seems to be shifted to the left). It does the same thing whatever the size of the video, and in both quicktime and vlc. If anyone has any ideas of what is causing this and how to get rid of it I would be very greatful. BTW it is a 24" iMac, 2GB RAM, 256 Nvidia.

I do not have access to the internet at home yet, will be coming soon so the computer has not yet been updated in any way.

Thanks

If it's only a pixel or two's height, I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen very similar on many other setups, and guess that it's a problem with the mastering/encoding of the DVD, not your computer. I suppose on TVs, that would get cut out.
