24" White Intel iMac upgrades?

Hello, I have searched all over for any info on this but I really couldn't find much. So I'll just ask.

This is what I have,
iMac 24-inch 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 250GB and 4GB ram running a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT .

At this time the video card is starting to show it's age and it over heats when I put demand on it, like playing WoW. I am limping it along with smcFan control for now.

I know I can bump up the video card to the 7600 which I am planing on doing but I was wondering while I had it apart was there anything else I can do to speed it up? I know it also had a 2.33GHz chip set in it and is that something I can switch out with out changing the whole Logic Board?

2.33Ghz is the highest proc available. Its socketed so the logic board can remain. TBH, its not worth it. After paying for a GPU replacement you would be better off selling the iMac as-is and buying a refurb or other second-hand machine.

That is what I am trying to weigh out. Sell or fix.

The next computer I buy will prob be a MP, just to be able to get an Apple that I will be able to expand or upgrade as time goes on. Would love to keep the iMac as a secondary computer in a sense though.

I've had it for about 4 years and find it hard to sell it lol
I still have my G3 blue iMac lol
