I am trading in my 2017 iMac on a 2020 and will have 32G of Corsair 2400 RAM from that machine leftover. I know the new iMac is 2667 MHz RAM. Any idea whether there would be a problem taking out the 8GB that comes with the new one and using the 2400MHz RAM? Also - might there be no problem with leaving the 8G of 2667MHz RAM in and putting the 32G 2400MHz in with it??

Not a huge deal if it doesn't work but would be great if it did :)

There is a high likelihood it would work, though at slightly reduced speed of course. I can't guarantee it, but it's generally likely enough that it'll work and the computer will just run the memory at the slower speed. - You may even be able to mix with the 8GB, but those sticks will then be reduced to 2400MHz as well, but no guarantees :)
