I have an ibook G4 1.42Ghz and I have a 60 GB harddrive which is filling up fast. I want to put a 250GB harddrive in my ibook but i called iresq and they said the biggest i can go is 160GB. can anyone tell me what interface is in the ibook g4 (Serial ATA, DMA, etc.) and if a 250GB harddrive is compatible with my machine. or if anybody else has successfully put a 250 GB disk in their machine. Thanks in advance..

Your iBook has space for a half-height (2.5 in) notebook drive. It has an Ultra ATA/100 bus (see here). Unfortunately, I believe the largest 2.5 in drive available for your iBook is 160GB.

Edit: Western Digital just announecd a 250GB half-height drive but it is SATA, which I believe will not work in your iBook.
