Other 256 vs 512 Holy Hell! What are you picking?

Just crazy sauce with the storage prices and I can't make sense of it. I get some may need 512 but phew.. it's pricey! I currently have a 256 phone and only use 51GB. Anyone feel like if they don't get 512 they're "missing out", even though they don't need it? Weird feeling. I must resist this!

I have the 256GB 7 Plus, which I believe was actually 236 after setting it up with the software. Until this, i've only ever had the 16 GB in iPhones. I currently have 190.9ish GB and most of the space is from applications even with over 2k photos. Coming from 16 gb, 256 is plenty for me.

I shoot a ton of video on my phone. Have the iPhone 7, 256GB and can easily fill that filming at 1080p 60fps. I’m planning on starting on the 4K bandwagon so it’ll be 512GB for me. Gulp.
