256GB Solid State or Fusion Drive???

Hi,
I"m thinking of getting the mac mini 2.3GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 and I am debating whether to get a 256GB Solid State or Fusion
Drive, the difference is only 50 bucks. One thing I know is that I don't want the 5400 rpm default drive...
Is the fusion a new thing? Does the fusion drive has moving parts like a regular HDD?
What is the advantage over one to the other?

Hopefully, some buyers (or iFixit) will actually receive a Fusion drive equipped Mac Mini soon and all will be revealed.

But, from what has been discussed on these forums, it seems most expect the Fusion option to consist of 2 separate drives, one standard SSD, and one standard Hard Disk. They will be combined by the OS to perform the "Fusion" functionality.

Thus, in your case, you will probably receive the same 5400 rpm 1TB hard disk, plus a 128 GB SSD drive with the Fusion option. Or ... you can elect to buy it with a single 256 GB SSD or a single 1 TB hard drive.

It is still unknown at this time if you can disable the Fusion functionality and treat the drives as separate SSD and HD drives like many are already doing. There is also the future possibility of the next upgrade of OS X including the Fusion functionality which can be applied to any Mac with a SSD and Hard Disk available.
