I started to download MacBreak Weekly podcast today on my iphone manually through itunes, half expecting to get the standard, over 25MB warning, use Wifi.

To my surprise the file downloaded on 3G :D, (checked it at home at a whopping 44.1MB)

Anyone else notice this?

Note: This was on a iPhone4 running iOS5, so I think its new iOS rules vs new PHONE rules.

On the iPad how do I download new episodes of already subscribed podcasts? Can't seem to find that particular button.

Its a manual process, under music -> podcasts open the podcast and there should be a row at the bottom that says Get More Episodes when you hit that, iTunes opens and you can get episodes from there.

No way to autodownload.

There is NO 'get more episodes' row on mine. It used to be there before I upgraded to iOS 5.

Hmm, does this change include the stupid 20MB limit on App Store apps?

MacBreak 269 isn't downloading over 3G for me. It's been sitting at "preparing to download" for about 5 minutes now. On the flip side, I haven't received any errors.

Yeah, mine sat for the longest, checked back later and it was done. Almsot like it was downloading in the background.

I'm not so sure it works over 3G. I just flipped on Wi-Fi and the progress bar started immediately.

In my case...

My wifi was definitely off when the download occurred. Dont use company wifi for podcasts.
