I have been using my 27" iMac for a couple of years now, but it has basically become a gloried TV, preferring to stick to my trusty Windows setup. Its only recently that I have started to use it again because of some of the powerful automation it can do.

So, I decided to look at increasing the font size. It seems you can't do it system-wide like with Windows. So, I went to Display and found a change from 2560x1440 to 2048x1152.

Anyone else done this, as they think the 27" font is too small?

Thanks,

Jon

Yes! Totally agree. I don't have an iMac but run 1440p effective resolution on my LG 31.5" 4k display.

I don't love being in a scaled mode, but it looks very close to as perfect as exact retina mode and the physical size of things is just perfect.

I wish they'd make a 30-32" 5k screen (or iMac w/ screen). I think the physical size is just right and lovely on the eyes, especially for those of us getting a bit older.
