Yes, we'll need to see the internals to see if there is a mounting bracket and connector in machines that don't come with an SSD installed. The factory SSD option is a non-starter for me - I'm currently booting my i7 2009 from an Intel X25M 80GB in a FW800 enclosure, and it works fine (and has room to spare on the SSD).
Even if there is a specific bracket for the SSD in the new models, there's still the pain of opening the beast up (and possibility of dust/pet hair intrusion) - I'd really love to see an externally-accessible upgrade bracket (removable panel, just slide the SSD in), but don't know if Apple would ever do such a thing.
Still very happy with my i7, with no regrets - bought it in March, and it's served me very well.
