27" iMac extended warranty

My 27" iMac 1st year warranty expired and I intended to buy AppleCare but forgot; is there any worth other alternatives... I love my machine and scared of problems... Any advice??
 
How long has it been since the warranty expired? If it happened very recently, then give Apple a call and you may be able to get you one
