I'd like to order a new iMac, 27" and I'd also like to use it with the existing articulating arm that's mounted to my make-shift desk.

Are there adapter plates available to mount the iMac to the VESA plate that's on my arm? BTW, a search did produce plates for previous iMacs but it does not appear they work with the 2015>.

I also found adapters that utilize the stand that comes standard on an iMac..no thanks!

How are you mounting your iMac?

Thank you MoFoMike. I did come across that option following a search. Clearly, I should have mentioned that.

That is clearly a solution but I was hoping to find a source for the adapter on its own because you do not receive the typical stand if ordered that-a-way. Plus, it carries a forty dollar premium. Although I have no intention to use it, should I decide to buy a new iMac, you never know what the future holds and there may come a point that I'd like to use the standard stand. I'd sure hate to try and acquire one in the future should the need arise.

Any clue where the mofoin' adapter can be purchased on its own?

Unfortuantely it doesn't look like the adapter can be purchased separately. You may have better luck buying the VESA version and finding the stand on its own, but even that appears to be a huge pain to install (opening the case and removing the entire logic board to access it).

This seems like the best/most flexible option: http://www.imacmount.com/ - the only drawback being that the stand still hangs down from the bottom.
