27" iMac vs new mbp 13"

I already got the new 13" mbp this summer. HOw does the specs compare with the new iMac 27" especially for video editing etc. From what I see the it looks like the iMac has better specs than mbp but just want to know what others think.
its almost like the iMac is a mini pro machine.

It will not be much different than you MBP unless you opt for the core i5/i7 processor since they are Quad-Core in terms of performance. The screen is much better because of the added real estate.
