I've been away from my iMac for several months but I remember while checking this site or another one about some software to be able to use finger gestures with the magic mouse. I'm guessing it was similar to how I use on my MBP laptop.

Can someone point me to this software?

Well, call me a newb and that's what I am. I just started using Mac's and don't know where the "menu bar" is located?

I figured that was it but I don't see any thing about the Better Touch Tool application.

I still haven't got it working.

After the download finished I double clicked and it asked if I wanted the activate snap to like Windows uses, I said no. I didn't move the application to the Applications area first but did later on and now I can't move it to the trash or nothing.

I don't know much about these Mac's yet.

You should be able to move it around and it will work. I actually opened it from my downloads folder and it started running. I then moved it into my apps folder. You probably cannot put it in the trash because it's running! Let me switch over to my laptop and i will see if i can load a screen shot so you know what to look for

Okay

Go in to your applications folder, and double click on the better touch tool icon this will 'open' the program

It will not actually open a window. It will put the better touch icon in the top menu bar to the left of the clock and battery. If you look on my screen shot you will see that it is the furthest left icon in the menu bar.

You will then click on the better touch icon in the menu bar and select 'preferences' you will see this step in my screen shot below as well.

You are now in the preferences menu and ready to do your thing! I hope this helps you out.

Good luck

Ok, that did it. When you mentioned earlier about it popping up on the "menu bar" I was looking to the upper left side of the screen where the Apple logo is.

I see it now!

Thank you!
