UK store has been showing 2 weeks for the last, well, week at least.
Apple aren't putting orders on hold, they're just not producing them fast enough to meet demand. Demand has obviously risen (either new orders or lots of replacements...) and hence pushed the delays longer.
I was having a browse (as you do) in Sheffield Apple Store, some asked if they had the 27's in stock and was told they had a big delivery this morning and had plenty.
I bet you a tenner they will be Core2Duo or possibly i5 models, not i7.

What does that have to do with the topic? It stated ALL 27 inchers. And the Apple stores don't carry the i7 anyway. Also, the i7 is merely a drop in replacement for the i5, the use the exact same socket, are the exact same architecture, and are basically no different aside from hyper threading, and the i7 being only 140 more mhz. i7's take zero extra effort to build over i5's.
