27'' owners need help from you

Those of you who already have your 27'' iMac, I would really appreciate it if you could help me out. Can you measure what the true height of the monitor screen itself is? Apple lists the heigh as 20.4in, however that includes the added height from the stand. I'm curious what the true height of the screen is. Thanks in advance.

Note: I tried doing a2+b2= c2 but the measurements Apple gives does not take into account the boarder of the screen. So the number I got does not make sense:

a2+ 25.6in^2= 27in^2

a= 8.58in

That doesn't make sense to me.

Size of 27" is Ht 17 5/8" Width 25 1/2" and about 2 1/2" deep at the deepest point in the middle where the stand would attach.
