A 29-STONE mum who feeds her eight-month old triplets with McDonald's has insisted she is bringing the tots up in the “best way she can".
Leanne Salt, 24, said she is “too busy” to properly feed daughters Deanna and Daisy and son Finlee. So she lets them eat her takeaways and gives them Wotsits snacks and microwave meals.
She said: “I’m trying to bring up my children the best way I can and the best way I know. My children are happy.”

I don't know what to say.

Jesus, it's not that time consuming to eat something, you know, NOT fattening as hell. I suppose she wouldn't know that though. :-S

I'm speechless.

She said: “My babies were six months old when they had their first McDonald’s. They like fish and chips too. I chew the food first so they can eat it because they haven’t got any teeth yet. I give them packets of Wotsits as a snack at 2pm.

Well I wouldn't brand it as "child abuse" but it is pretty reprehensible.
@rdowns
I think she might think her babies are birds.

For those of us in the States, WTF is "29-stone"? ;)
Take a look at the picture of her – that's 29 stones. ;)

14lbs = 1 stone, so this woman weighs in at around 406lbs – I think US lbs are slightly different to Englandshire lbs, but you get the picture.

By way of comparison, I'm a 6'2" boy and I weigh in at a shade under 12 stone – so she weighs two-and-a-half-time what I do. Cripes.

God I know. I HATE the stone measurement. I've made the adjustment to kilos OK but stone just confuses me (and forces me to use dashboard conversion :p).

I'm speechless.

UGH, I didn't even notice that part. GROSS! Yeah, I'm sure chewing their food for them is much easier than just buying them proper food.

Can Baby Licences be in our future?? (Hello PRSI forum.)

6', 14.4 stone = 202 lbs here.

Oh, and Lee, Leopard has a Dock widget for conversions. Handy little tool.

Another thing that shocked me that I have never thought about: the article said 17lb toddlers should eat 765 calories a day; that's about how much some girls eat when they diet... Crazy.

The kids look soooo precious... but they don't/won't have a chance in hell in life

She got pregnant by her boyfriend of only four weeks
Imagine what a winner this guy had to be!! ;)

Egads, that is so sad. Poor kids. Mom must be in denial about how poor nutrition is going to affect them all. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see problems like hypertension, diabetes, etc. in that family's future.

Whilst these people obviously have some problems the Scums slant on it is what you might say wrong

Isn't that always the way of the tabloid though… behind the shock horror headlines there is usually not much substance.

I guess she should be congratulated on her weight loss
Leanne, who has lost 11-and-a-half stone and now weighs 29-stone
She has lost more weight than I weigh! And I'm a 45 yo male… jeezus.

Well, judging by the cute kids, they got that from their Dad.

And he might have been one of few men to get the job done. ;)

That's disgusting.

Here, yes.

Eskimos used to do it for their elderly, when they could not longer chew blubber for themselves.

It's not like she's feeding like birds do!!

Mum Jane said: “I buy salad, but nobody eats it. They’d rather have sugary foods.”

she has no one to blame but herself for that one..

what the hell is she doing that keeps her so busy? obviously not working because then she would be able to provide for her family without the help of tax credits..
