I purchased the 29w charger a couple weeks ago, which cost a bit less than an arm and a leg because using Ipad Pro 12.9 with 12w brick is like using it without a charger. Especially with art apps. I have noticed a bit of a discharge while using the Ipad with the newer charging brick. It was not a significant discharge but I thought maybe it is normal. I woke up this morning and noticed it discharged overnight, while it was sleeping and plugged in. Again not significant, 98% but not something it should not have done. I turned it off and then rebooted and it discharged to 94%, that fast during that short 60 sec proccess. I am getting it back up to a full charge, but this charger, I thought would stop this. I let it discharge once a month to keep the battery health. Does or has anyone experienced this annoyance. I don't have a bunch of apps running as I am not a multitasker and I usually shut down background apps just to avoid this problem. I have no other problems other than the discharging. It is just irritating since I had to shell out money for a brick that should have been standard in the ipad box in the first place, then it cost half the price of an Apple Pencil, that I love. I do like my iPad but I leave it at my desk and always plug it in. I have to say I treat it with kid gloves. Ipad Pro is not particularly mobile to carry here and there, as far as I am concerned, not feasible with the battery time available. As a matter of fact it is at 96% but should be about 100% by now. I don't want it to get worse. Was it the update that is causing this? Who knows? I treat the cord gently for obvious reasons, don't want to have to replace that. I have had it for 2 and a half months so it is not aged. If anyone has any thoughts I would surely appreciate your input. Hope I placed this in the right area of forum. Thanks. 97%, yay, progress.
