Ok, so when i jailbroke and unlocked my 2g iPhone for firmware 2.1 I had a lot of problems with quickpwn. At one point I thought my phone was bricked, and I could not use it forever. I finally got it to restore to a custom firmware 2.1 which I downloaded somewhere off the internet. Now, that firmware 2.2 has come out, I really want a custom 2.2 firmware so that I don't even have to deal with quickpwn. Please, I need one that is unlocked and jailbroken. I don't care about the boot logos. Can someone give me a download?

Yes, but I want to avoid quickpwn entirely. Last time I used it, it wouldnt pwn at all, and it messed the phone up. It was in some type of mode that i couldn't get out of, and I finally only got it working by downloading a custom 2.1 firmware and restoring.

Well i have gotten a lot of emails asking for the custom firmware...

All i want to say is that you're going to need to put the phone in recovery mode before you can do the shift restore.... For this you're going to use the program: ziphonehttp://download.ziphone.org/. The recovery option is under advance settings. And after that doing a simple shift restore shouldn't be problem.

Oh i Forgot to upload pictures to help you guys so.. the first one is Ziphone and the recovery option is highlighted, and the other is an iphone in recovery mode. (notice this is an old version of recovery mode, your phone should look something like it) And now Itunes will open up and say something like "Itunes has detected an iphone is recovery mode. You must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes. This is when you do the SHIFT RESTORE/OPTION RESTORE..... and then click on the custom firmware.:)

You don't need Ziphone to put In Recovery mode. Ziphone is notorious for ruining iPhones. No good.

Just restore to normal firmware and use QuickPwn.

If you're on a Mac, use PwnageTool and build your own.
