2G Iphone crashed while downloading APP wont reset

Please help! I have a jailbroken 2g Iphone, while downloading a APP I accidently hit the home button and I believe my phone crashed. I am unable to connect to Itunes for all my backup is at home. I have tried holding down the power and home button, as well as just the power button all for 15 secs and nothing. I see the Silver Apple logo for few seconds but then disappears. Someone please help

Really don't think there's a lot you can do without connecting it to a computer...

Appreciate the reply. Cant really connect to Itunes from the office server has it block for connection. . . will take care of it when I get home . Thanks again
