2g iphone not being recognize by itunes after jailbreak with quickpwn.

I have a 2g iphone that had 1.1.4 which was jailbreak with ziphone. I used quickpwn to unlock and jailbreak the 2.1 software which i had put on my phone. The phone was great is unlocked i could add apps etc. The only problem is that when i connect it to itunes 8.0 is doesn't recognize the iphone it says something about the dataclass not being able to sync and to try again later.
what can i do to fix this. I have tried restoring the phone, resetting the phone, unistalling and installing itunes and nothing

Unless he means he did a restore back to factory maybe?

OP: What do you mean by "restore"? And did you re-Jailbreak afterwards? If you went back to factory settings I'm assuming the phone was then recognized by iTunes?
