So I'm running a 4GB 2G iPhone and it's getting old now with the amount of space I have. I bought my original one second week out and then had it replaced by apple a year later. With the 3G refurbs popping up at AT&T, it's got me interested in maybe trying to track down a 16GB or even an 8GB model and get rid of mine. Does apple or AT&T sell these or am I stuck with ebay/craigslist?

To be honest I think you're stuck with eBay and/or craigslist as you say, the funny thing is that a lot of the 2Gs being touted as "brand new" on eBay are in fact refurbs. I know that Apple Stores do hold refurbished 2Gs in stock to replace faulty handsets but I don't think that they'd sell you one, which is a shame because I'd like 1 myself, even so you could try asking.

Recently the US online Apple Store were selling refurbished 4GB 2Gs but I think they've long since sold out, but if you're in the US [which I'm guessing you are] you could try keeping an eye on the refurb section to see what becomes available.

figured as much. My 4GB is in pretty good shape, so I may try and find a decent used 8GB and then sell my 4GB one to pay for it. Who knows, I wouldn't mind a 3G, but I sure as hell ain't paying an extra $10 a month for one.
