I bought a family member their own aptv after having my own for a year now, and never having a single problem. At first the person did not know what it did, and then realized that it can do all sorts of bad ass things, and finally hooked it up after getting a new plasma. It worked perfect for a day or two and now it cant sync correctly, it gets through one or two songs or movies quickly and then slows down dramatically. I mean 1 song every 5-15 minutes slow. I personally am fully mac including the airport extreme which is the household router. His crap is pc laptops, one has n the other is g, both have the same problem, and both have countless ignorant pc anti everything programs on them. I know its some kinda firewall bs, or aniti something software bs. Please help make this gift worth while, it's giving a huge headache trouble shoothing pc stuff after a retired from doing so. By the way, my macs work perfectly with his new aptv. :apple:

Oh, and youtube does not work on the new 2nd aptv.

But it can rent movies in HD on the fly via aptv's iTunes store over router wireless.

Have the other person run an ethernet cable to the ATV when syncing and see if that makes a difference. If the sync rate increases, then there is something going awry with his wireless connection.

Some ISPs place a speed restriction on your service if you 'hammer' it for a bit. Usually 15 minutes then they dramatically reduce your limit so you aren't hogging the whole neighbourhood of 'internets'.

This could be the problem?

EDIT: Doh, you said syncing not downloading. Sorry... ignore my insane ramblings!
