attempt 1:
I had installed High Sierra on top of Sierra. Everything fine. Just the 2nd display remained black when connected, also my MacBook Pro display.
attempt2:
Same result after installing High Sierra on a formatted SSD and migrating all data.
attempt3:
It worked fine with the display after installing HS on formatted SSD as a new user.
However, after migrating all data failure again.
Now I see three possible approaches to the solution:
1. Installing HS on formatted disk as new user and then migrating all data except for the System data.
2. Like 1., but then copying data manually step by step. (much work, this is not my favorite)
My favorite solution:
3. With your help: Make a certain change in the system so that it works in my present installation.
All geniuses are cordially invited to help me as well as all others who have the same problem.
Thanks a lot
Daniel
