iPod 2nd question of day - pls help

I am grateful for the advice earlier today about my old ipod.

I now have a brand new one in the box and want to load all the tracks from my itunes libraryonto the new ipod.

SOmeone mentioned to me issues to overcome to allow the Itunes on my PC talk to the new ipod.

Can someoen please advise what steps I follow to allow the new ipod totalk to the itunes on my PC.

err, just plug it in.
