I unlocked my phone so I can now put my companies o2 sim in it.
I thought an unlock was for any card any network? I now have been given another mobile number due to a promotion, I put the sim in and it says sim is locked, you have 3 chances to put correct code in.

Do I have to do another fresh restore and unlock again?

Thanks

No, your iPhone is already "carrier unlocked". The code input lock you see is the SIM lock. It's just a 4-digit PIN that locks your phone to prevent others from using it.

If the carrier is O2, then I don't believe you have to (I could be wrong)... I've used O2 Pay&Go sims in my contract iPhone to test some stuff before, so I don't think it would object to having a business SIM in there - the only lock is on the network (in this case O2), not the type of contract in use :D
