I don’t and never will have enough local content for 2TB to make sense during this era. I picked up the 1TB only for the 16GB of ram (not that ipad os 16 gonna make full use of it anyway)

My current 11 inch M1 Pro have 2 TB storage and I love it. I can download/transfer anything I want without worrying about storage and have all my stuff on the go. Of course it depends how you use your iPad but for me it’s like a laptop replacement. Aside of my iMac, my iPad Pro is the way to go for everything mobile.
