I was curious if my C2D 2.16GHz 15.4" Macbook Pro would work with 2x2GB OCZ DDR2 800MHz SODIMM sticks. I've heard that only 3GB is addressable with my model of Macbook Pro, but would the sticks work in my Macbook Pro even though i'll be missing 1GB of ram?

The bus isn't 800MHZ, so it would have to downscale. I assume this works, but I haven't heard of anyone trying it.
