If you look at the main page, it says this update patches the SMS exploit vulnerability. I don't care about being vulnerable so I'm not in a hurry to upgrade.

Same here, thought I was alone. My phone is working somewhat the way I want it. As long as slingbox works and I can make and receive a call I'm good

I am staying with 3.0 myself until 3.1 comes out. I don't see enough of a change to ruin all my JB settings.

Same here. My 3GS is running PERFECTLY right now (SBSettings, WinterBoard theme, 3G Unrestrictor, YourTube, etc) and I really can't be bothered to set it all up again ... I'm definitely waiting for 3.1, too ...

You can chalk me up as another who's waiting. I've got fairly nice setup with my JB and am not worried about this hack at all...

Just curious. Since the guys who developed this hack accounced it and informed AT&T of the vulnerability, wouldn't they get in a lot of trouble if people's phones starting displaying the symptoms? I mean hackers get away with this stuff all the time but I would guess it's because they don't publicly announce what they're doing...

No, because they gave Apple ample time to fix the problem. In fact, had they not published their findings, I highly doubt Apple would've released 3.0.1 now (or ever) ...

I'm not really worried about it either.

Just think of all the 'other' people who only sync or check for updates every once in a while. I mean if it was that bad I'd bet apple would send a text to every iphone telling us to sync and get the update. Wouldn't they? :p
