3.0- A2DP is distorted / clipping.

I have the MotoRokr T505 and have found that the A2DP signal comes out super hot. Older songs that are mastered low sound great, but new stuff that is highly compressed gets fairly distorted. Anyone else seen this with other devices? There is no way to turn down the bluetooth signal coming from the phone I take it.

Having same problem

Same problem here. When paired with my car stereo, audio sounds great at low signal levels, but most music clips horribly. High frequencies (12kHz-16kHz) seem to clip the worst. So far, I haven't been able to test with any other devices, so I have no idea if it's the iPhone or my stereo.

Any help/suggestions would be great.

I have a Sony DR-BT22A and it's actually very impressive how good it sounds thru that headset. I guess the headset or other device matters as much as anything else.

9800BT iphone bluetooth clipping

I'm having the exact same clipping problem when playing music using bluetooth. I've tried everything from varying ranges to restarting my headunit etc. I have the Premier 9800BT headunit and the iPhone 3g w/OS 3.0. I hope somebody can give an explanation to this.

I paired my Motorola S9s with my iphone 3g and they work great. The mic works well for taking calls and all of the buttons work except for the next track button unfortunately. The volume, pause, and take call buttons all work just fine which are the ones I use the most, I rarely skips tracks since it is my playlist.

The quality is great and defintely in stereo. I listened to them about an hour yesterday on my way to and from work and I didn't have a single skip.

ditto. a2dp isn't all that great sounding really. If you have compressed music going through compressed headphones, the sound will probably be crappy.

I also have the Sony DR-BT22 headsets and they are impressive (for BT anyway).
