I torrented the firmware update and I didn't realize you had to have a dev account to activate it. Now i cant downgrade back to 2.2

My phone is now completely useless...
can some one with a dev account please authorize my phone
PLEASE!!!!

This is your fault. You were to have read the rules and known the risks. Heck, you're not even supposed to have the software. There is a good thread about returning to the old firmware. Search for it.

I agree, I hate people who think they can get things for free when you pay good money for it.

BUahhahahahahaha, I did think about getting it via torrents but I did this funny thing.

I read the torrent description, and checked these forums.

Enjoy your brick :) should hopefully be fine when they release 3.0 in a few months.

You didn't think about that before putting BETA firmware on your phone? Don't you have some kind of inner monologue that said that maybe you shouldn't be monkeying around with it if you rely on it for work?

look i didnt actually torrent it i got it on a flash drive from my friend i dont know where he got it. i said torrent cuz i thought you people would be more likely to help

just downgrade back to 2.2.1

To restore:

1. Attempt a restore of 2.2.1 in DFU Mode

2. Get the iTunes error message.

3. Reset device

4. Launch QuickPwn

5. Press next and get past the first 3 steps.

6. Bam, phone is fixed.

if you run a business go drop $400 for a new iphone and don't attempt things without doing the homework again...

Way to go and ruin it. This user is a fool and should've been forced to sweat it out for a good, long time. Impatient fools...

Holy massive fail Batman! A friend giving it on a USB key makes it no less egregious. Sheesh! :)
