Hi all,
First I want to thank everyone contributing and writing free apps for JB iphones. That's tremendous work and it is appreciated.

With my disappointment, however, I will not be using jailbroken 3.0 for a while as the apps I want the most are too buggy and crash instantly.

First, I read about people's problems with apps, but surprisingly it all worked for me (with a couple exceptions) on Sat until I decided to restore completely from scratch (again) as it was supper choopy when moving icons around (never experienced that before) and I couldn't find a cause for it.

Now terminal won't start, SBSettings crashes after going to settings, same with statusnotifier, iphone video recorder wont start, insomnia is not functional, cycorder crashes, cydia completely killed my phone after updates and is choppy... I dont even want to try other apps, if I can't get essentials to work properly (sbsettings, terminal) WTF is happening with my phone lol?

Seriously, I've used the same ipsw as in the morning and most of above apps worked fine (except insomnia, statusnotifier crashed in settings too)

Maybe I just need to wait for a while for those apps to be updated?
Does anyone have these problems as well? Very frustrating...

I have most of the apps your talking about on both my iPhone 2G and 3G. All work fine except for terminal which starts with the screen upside down for some reason.. lol

How did you install 3.0 / JB?

Only app I had a problem with, besides 5 column springboard not even being available was 5 icon dock.... they are all squished to left side so I deleted it and will try again later. I have no speed issues r/t cydia apps at this time.

Yeah, I run 3.0 jalibroken with pwnage. It is weird because all those apps worked fine the first time i JB-ed it Sat morning (yes, terminal was upside down lol). I restored it all again and JB-ed again just because moving icons was super choppy and slow and could find a solution for it...

I just saw new updates to Cydia, Terminal and other packages which I am trying right now (reloading data ... actually seems like it hangs now)
I am going to do another ipsw and start from the scratch for the last time today...
Don't understand what is going on

edit to add: updating cydia installer froze the app, had to hard reboot... but all statusnotifier and terminal are now working! woohoo

I found out that the problem with Cydia not wanting to install anything is that it can't co-exist with Icy because of each app trying to set its own permissions (or something). So I used redsn0w to jailbreak my iPhone, and if that's the case for you, then all you need to do is re-run your iPhone through redsn0w again, and leave the "Install Icy" box blank. You don't need to restore your iPhone to redo the jailbreak either, so that's a big plus. Icy was still there for me after the re-jailbreak was done, but I didn't open it, and I hid its icon with SBSettings.

As far as 3.0 JB performance goes for me, I haven't had any problems with it. Apps still open and close just as fast. The only constantly running JB apps I have are SBSettings and Backgrounder.
