Will the 3.0 sdk be free once 3.0 is release and not in Beta anymore?

Can't say for sure, since we don't work at Apple. But, I'd bet that it does become available for free when 3.0 is released to the public.

Thanks for the quick response. I want to get in to developing but i am not confident enough to plunk down 99 dollars just to use it 2 months before.

Is this what happened with 2.0? at first you had to pay for it?

No, everyone could get the 2.0 SDK (after gaining acceptance which took a month or two unlike now which is almost instant.) But only those who paid would get the beta 2.0 firmware, like what is happening with 3.0. Why not just download the free 2.2.1 SDK to see if you want to pursue development?

I just got the 2.2.1. That is what I plan on doing. I just know that a lot has been added in 3.0 and I was just checking to see if I would be able to get that for free or not. Thanks for the help.
