3.0 with Blackberry Plan

I have a 3g running 2.21 with a Blackberry Plan. I heard/read somewhere that updating to 3.0 stops you from being able to stay on this plan.

Can anyone verify this? Is anyone running 3.0 with Blackberry Plan?

Data won't work but the calling minutes will.

No, it's 3.0 that is blocking the data plan. I restored my 1st generation to 2.2.1 so that I can use a GoPhone sim in it and still be able to use data.

Who is your service with. In Canada, u can have them add a code Apn3con i think. It will allow you to use data on either a BB or Iphone.

I saw a post that says that 3.1 B2 now will allow the BB data plans to work. I tried it and it's back. My AT&T USA BB $45 BES SIM works again in my 3GS 3.1 B2 iPhone. So if my iPhone dies I can put the SIM back in my BB and good to go. Still activated with the BES.
