3.0 with tethering and MMS update not JB??

Ok I downgraded to 3.0 to get tethering to work without jailbreaking it here: http://help.benm.at/help.php

I'd like to have both tethering and MMS (obviously) but the mod I did requires 3.0. Can I add the new carrier settings onto 3.0 some how with out jailbreaking and get MMS back? My main thing here is I would like to get this WITHOUT jailbreaking. thanks!

Damn, if only there was a thread that addressed getting the carrier update without having to 3.1. It would be so cool if there magically was one, and it magically happened to appear right below the thread YOU JUST STARTED. And it would be cool if it has some obvious and self explanatory title like "How to"

Boy wouldn't that be a treat! If only the title didn't include JAILBROKEN.
