I have searched many threads and have found 0 conclusions regarding this matter, my question is simple is the 3.06 iMac SR capable of recognizing with any problems 6GB of 667 MHz RAM, Yes or No, Real life experience please.

I have seen threads where some people stating their iMac didn't recognized or suffered many problems when installing 800 MHz sticks on the other hand I have heard one person saying his 2.4 iMac SR accepted and recognized 6GB of 667 MHz RAM. Any one with real knowledge or real life experience regarding this matter will be very well welcomed. Thank you

The non-tech simple answer is yes, it will in fact "recognize" 6 GB of RAM. But all in all it won't use more than 4GB. People who tell you "they noticed a speed increase" are simply seeing what they want to see - nothing more than positive placebo side effect.

Thank you then I am just buying the 4GB 800 MHz kit for imac 3.06.
