3.06Ghz iMac upgrade...?

Looking at the new iMac 3.06Ghz 24" with the NVidia graphics card. a quick question though....

Can you replace the HDD with something else, & what is the HDD that come's standard? I'm guessing that these are laptop HDD's?? Am I correct???

The HD is a regular 3.5" desktop model. Not intended to be user replaceable (can be done, but is a hassle as you have to remove the screen, which requires patience, care and special equipment).

was thinking about replacing it with a WD Raptor or Samsung NAND drive or something faster? not sure its worth the hassle?

Its not worth the hassle. Just stick with the internal drive and add more storage on the Firewire 800 bus if you're looking for speed.
