Alright I know this just came out..but is there no unlock/jailbreak for this new software for an iPhone 3G?..I heard redsnow will jailbreak..but no unlock. I really hope something like blackra1n continues to happen with these newer softwares..easiest jailbreak/unlock around. At least for your regular joe who just wants to use their iPhone and aren't a tech genius lol

There are many threads here which would make clear to you that the current firmware cannot be jailbroken on the 3GS and the current baseband cannot be unlocked. Will there be a jailbreak or unlock? Frankly, I doubt it. I don't expect a new jailbreak or unlock until the 4G is out.

As for Blackra1n, it will never work with the new firmware. It relies on an exploit which no longer exists. And with all the flak he's been getting from the whiny and entitled, I doubt he's going to make a new one.

Newest version of sn0wbreeze out. Jailbreaks the iPod Touch 1G, 2G and iPhone 2G, 3G, and 3G(old bootrom & non MC) on 3.1.3.

Actually, 3GS owners are reporting pretty healthy increases in battery charge/life with the 3.1.3 update...

Guys I am new to this but what is the difference between jailbreaking and unlocking? I am unable to do anything because I am running the 3.1.3 firmware
