Haven't updated yet to 3.1. Has anyone noticed his/her battery life improving after installing it? I read a rumor that the betas of 3.1 had improved battery life for the 3GS.

how do you expect anyone to know 4 hours into it?

True. :D

Just thought that maybe some people may have noticed a difference.

In any event the thread is created. It would have been started by someone else eventually anyway, just like the obligatory "safari seems snappier" ones. :)

Definitely. I believe I have seen an excellent increase in battery life on 3.1, bearing in mind my iPhone 3G is a brand new replacement

I have an increase of 5 minute on my battery and my safari is exactly .858993893 seconds faster than before. :D

I updated last night and as of this morning, I'm still at 100% charge.

this is with my usb chord plugged into my computer tho. :p

I'm seeing a definite improvement. I have push email on (mobileme + exchange)

Typically after doing normal stuff, listening to music, making calls, texting. I'd be down in the 70% range but right now I'm at 86% Pretty happy so far.

After I updated the battery drained itself about 20% in half an hour. I guess this was just background stuff because it has stopped now.

I don't see a noticeable difference. It 'seems' like it might be slightly better, but this is probably what my mind 'wants' to think!

Well my battery with 3.1 isn't better in my book. I usually keep my phone in Airplane Mode for the day while I'm at work, and it only drains 2-3% by the end of the day. Today, by lunch time it had drained to 87%. Not cool.
