Prior to upgrade 3.0 using my iPhone in my house it could see numerous other WiFi networks from my neighbors. When I installed 3.0, I could only see my own home WiFi network. Since installing 3.1, it is clear this issue of weak WiFi reception has not been addressed by Apple. Are they even doing anything about it? It is sad that prior to 3.0 I could sit inside my car in my driveway and connect to my home WiFi but after 3.0 (and with 3.1), I can't even see my home network until I walk in my house.

Is this really that hard of an issue to fix?

For me at least, it fixed it 100%. I couldn't even stay connected to a Wi-Fi spot for more than 30 seconds without the connection randomly disconnecting, reconnecting, pretending like it forgot the password to the router, etc. It was so bad for me I just turned Wi-Fi off completely and only used the 3G since Wi-Fi was too unreliable.

After 3.1, my iPhone stays 100% connected to every Wi-Fi spot with no disconnects or random password re-entry screens. So, I'm not sure where yours didn't work. :(

I am not talking about WiFi disconnects, I am talking about weak WiFi signals. Prior to 3.0 I could see 4 WiFi signals from inside my house, even my PSP and Tivo can see them. But since 3.0 (and now 3.1) my iPhone can only see my home WiFi from inside my house. The iPhone's ability to receive WiFi signals has been degraded.

What is up with that Apple?
