3.1/itunes 9 broke my griffin simplifi?

Ever since I upgraded to itunes 9 and 3.1, my griffin simplifi is no longer recognized as a suitable charging device for my iphone? I can still connect to sync, it just no longer charges the phone like it used to.

What gives?

My girlfriend has a Hello Kitty ipod dock I used to use to charge my iPhone when I'd stay at her house. 3.0 killed it.
