3.1 Jailbreak for iPhone 3GS?

I've searched all around but cannot find a good step-by-step tutorial or anything on how to jailbreak 3.1 for my iPhone 3GS. Unless there isn't a jailbreak for 3.1 yet?

I'm using a Mac and would like to jailbreak 3.1 so if anyone has more information on this I'd really appreciate it! Thank you

Just monitor this site.. When it comes, it will be from here.
 
yeah a lot of people are looking and waiting. iphone dev team rocks and will have it soon i bet. best of luck to them on it
 
i hope this comes soom cause i was forced to update to 3.1 sorta but its too late now... i have my ecid on file with cydia which means i can downgrade but to 3.0 and not 3.01, which is great and all... but there is somthing a little unsettling about 1 person having a huge list of phones that are active with the sms exploit and free to take control of.... apple really needs to just open the damn iphone up... for now ill just wait for the 3.1 3gs jb

They're probably trying to figure out how to deal with the signing issue ... I wish they'd just go ahead and release the JB for those of us who have ECIDs on file with Saurik, though ... :(

Yeah, or just release a redsn0w to jailbreak already loaded 3.1. I don't care about preserving the baseband, I just want the jailbreak.

well my phone ****ed up and would NOT boot for any reason, but I could get it to go into recovery mode and it prompted me to update to 3.1 and i said SIGH oh well I guess it's the only way to fix it... so I did it, then after it was finished I thought about OH CRAP, i coulda used pwnage tool and made a 3.01 JB custom ispw and did it this way, but i forgot. now im stuck on 3.1 and don't wanna downgrade to 3.0, cause i'd want the SMS fix of 3.01, i guess ill just wait for the 3.1 JB or whatever
 
yea, i was forced also

My phone died, so i charged it and it ended up getting knocked off the charge dock and died again.. turned it back on and it wouldnt turn on at all, even when it was charging. it was the screen where my phone put itself into dfu mode. tried to connect it with redsn0w, wouldnt work so i just restored with the update,(forced) lol): just waiting on the 3.1 jailbreak for the 3GS.. pretty lame phone now. :(

So downgrade! It isn't that difficult - I would know, I've done it twice ... ;)

You don't. You wait until the 3.1 jailbreak for 3G S comes out, which could be never. This is why you shouldn't have updated to 3.1.

None of those work anymore. They worked back when the 3.1 betas were out, but now that Apple quit signing any 3.0 and 3.0.1 firmwares, you can't downgrade. Period.

You can not downgrade your iPhone 3G S unless you're one of the ~50,000 people that got their 3.0/3.0.1 ECID SHSHs on file with Cydia within the "window."

Actually Saurik has said the Chronic Dev Team who brought out purplerain are the ones who have found the new exploit in the system, and are still working on it now.
So when it comes, it will be from them (initially)
 
Stable Unlocka and Jailbreak?

So I am confused, is their a stable jailbreak and unlock out yet for 3G 3Gs iPhones running firmware 3.1?
