Yo, I'm new to the iPhone with the 3G S and so may be afforded a little leaway?! I just upgraded to 3.1 with no problems except for music not appearing in my iPod. All my 26 Gb of music is still on the phone and available if I use the search function but pressing the iPod it claims none is there.

Can anyone help, sorry if it's obvious.

Try a reboot, if still nothing plug it into your iTunes and click sync.

If you still have the problem you may need to restore.

@62s: just re-synced and all music back now. Cheers for the pointer! :)

Same thing happened to me this morning. My iTunes showed the iPhone as still being full, except it would crash when I tried to play something from it. Then I checked the phone itself about 5 minutes later and everything was normal.
